Fleece in Summer

Random dude on campus wearing a fleece vest in 92 degrees.

Seriously.

Granted, that is 10+ degrees cooler than the days have been recently...

Twistah

Oh hey, look! It's Cait's first tornado warning!

At one point the weather people announced a tornado had touched down in Round Rock and was heading Southeast in I-35. Hey, guess where I live? Southeast on I-35!

I was also online during this time (because what else would you do when a tornado is on its way?!) and a line of my gchat went something like:
Me: Don't worry, I'm still alive.
Other person: Ya I figured you'd say something before you died.

Needless to say, the tornado(es) did not make it to Austin.

That's right: a little bit of the South in the middle of a New England snowstorm.

Snow

Snow, Texas-style.

It was a flurry. People were WAY EXCITED. Pretty much anyone who was awake (it was late last night) was outside.

Howdy Texas Winter!!

IT IS SLEETING/HAILING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I had a working camera, I would take photos.

It is NOT WARM OUT!!!!

I keep going outside to stand in it. It keeps turning to rain then hail then rain then hail….

Today & tonight it has been:

a) sunny & 80+

b) totally overcast and 65

c) 55 & thundering with 25 mph+ gusts

d) 38 and hailing, and,

e) all of the above.

I heart Austin.

esp. South Congress Ave. Just sayin'.

Sky & Rain

August sky & plants in Zilker Park

A waterfall. Yay waterfalls!

Hmm, I wonder if it's still running since we've barely had approximately 4+ of rain since September began.

Long Spandex in 85 F

It was 85 degrees and sunny on Saturday.

This random high school rower is wearing:
long spandex,
soccer socks,
uni,
under-armor long sleeve,
and a rowing jacket.

Just imagine what he'll be wearing when it's, god forbid, 70 or even 60...
